Noodle Strudel Casserole

This recipe has the perfect mix of custard and noodles making a strudel that is sure to satisfy the custard lover in you! It takes no time to make and I know you will love the crunch on top. Enjoy!
Ingredients
  • 1 12 oz package of noodles. (I use the No Yolks Dumplings)
  • ½ cup cream cheese (half of 8 oz)
  • ¼ cup of butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2½ cups scalded milk
  • Topping
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup corn flakes
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F.
  2. Grease a 9 X 12 pan. I used one 8 X 8 and one 9" pie pan.
  3. Cook noodles according to the directions on the package and cool.
  4. Cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar.
  5. Add eggs and continue creaming.
  6. Add vanilla and hot milk and mix.
  7. Add noodles to this mixture and stir.
  8. Pour into prepared pan.
  9. Mix topping ingredients and sprinkle on top. I crush the Corn Flakes for a smaller crunch.
  10. If using 2 smaller pans, bake for 50 minutes.
  11. If using one 9 X 12 pan, bake for 1 hour or until set.
  12. This dessert is delicious served warm and tastes great reheated.
